fun #christianity fact hell has never actually existed. the king james version, as well as other english translations from greek mistranslated "gehenna" into "hell" when gehenna (valley of hinnom) is a real place that jesus and his followers would have understood to be a place abandoned by god i love #theology and i hate when people misinterpret/refuse to engage with it for their own agendas like babes i get youre supposed to be a sheep in the flock of christ but i think there is merit to thinking critically and finding god by actually engaging with the text rather than having it spat onto you by a pastor who is actively lying to you for a paycheck, insurance, and political reasons
