I sup-pose that is a val-id read-ing of "im-prove-ment". I did not spe-ci-fy whe-ther for the whole, for civ-il-i-za-tion, or for the in-di-vi-du-al. It calls in-to 𝕢ues-tion whe-ther the im-prove-ment for one can, or should, out-weigh an in-prove-ment for more than one. Both are giv-en their place in our so-ci-e-ty.
