Every couple weeks I have to remind the general populace that the election cycle doesn’t just happen “whenever” and it is, in fact, very scheduled. The next voting cycle occurs in one sweep.

I am doing nothing but reminding residents of Earth-C if their democratic rights.
If the people want a vote, let them vote. Sure, it'll be little more than a glorified poll, but we really need a visual demonstration of how badly Shy Dirk'll get creamed in the actual election should he have the backbone to continue the fight all sweep long.
I am not in charge of who is allowed to run for office. I am merely informing the public of the next voting cycle.
