'Cause, to my knowledge, the buttons translate to hornylike, hornyhate, hornyfriendly, and hornymediate. Yanno, 'cause of the whole... pail, drone, bucket thing.
That's kinda what makes it weirder to me, though? The symbols have a lot stronger cultural contexts for them, and knowing what they are, it's even *weirder* they don't just have a thumbs up and a middle finger or what have you.

While the multiversal nature of this platform may have f001ed you otherwise romance does not mandate the filling of a bucket to function, that process was enforced strictly by the Imperial system and in many universes including my own neither moirails nor auspacious third parties of a quadrant would need to provide genetic material for a filial pail as none would e%ist to be filled for either quadrant, their purpose was more cultural than government enforced. I should also point out that these icons are clearly just metaphors and not in-fact brazen solicitations to fill the quadrant they represent. And, unlike any website theoretically produced by leprechauns or humans, gives way to a breath of e%pression without lacking in nuance such as the human equivalent or being bloated and unnecessary such as any website created by leprechauns would bound to be.
