I am a normal amount of invested in swords for someone who used to be largely comprised of blades. I feel I cannot be criticized for this.

Rapier, but of course that isn’t a suitable sword for every fight and their lightness makes them easy targets for disarmament by a skilled opponent or one who has a heavier sword but it does mean they are less of a strain to handle for longer, and while there is less surface area to cause damage with they can execute a precise strike well. Much more of a duelist’s sword than a war weapon, but that’s fine with me.
