Hi, y'all, it'z Lottie! I been seein' a lot of theze pretty ladiez out lately, so tonight'z subject iz... Dragonfliez! Did y'all know that dragonfliez are THE mozt succezzful predatorz on Alternia? For example, sharkz? I reckon they only get the target about half the time. Lionz are a little better with a succezz rate clozer to 75%. But dragonfliez? NINETY-FIVE PERCENT SUCCEZZ RATE! Ain't that somethin'? They're so good at what they do, that the Emprezz' military scientermagantz are takin' notez from 'em! No kidding! Dragonfliez alzo have what'z called True Omnidirectional Flight. They got four wingz total, and each one can be moved on itz own. So dragonfliez can hover, fly in circlez, backwardz, upzide-down, twizt their wingz... Hell, I wouldn't be surprized of they could even do loop-de-loopz! And if you were to take three of their wingz (that iz, if you were a cruel, puzherlezz being), they could still fly and hunt good with juzt the one. Don't azk me how. So uh, on THAT note, tonight'z subject will be bumblebeez! I'm sure all y'all have heard that snappy line about how "accordin' to all known lawz of aviation, the bee should not be able to fly." Well, I'm happy to report that that'z completely true! It waz throwin' scientermagantz for a real loop for a while, but it turnz out their wingz move so fazt that they lift their bodiez off the ground like a little whirlcraft! They flap 130-240 timez a SECOND. The strength and speed really iz somethin'! Did y'all know you can't juzt mix and match any old bee? There'z flowerz honeybeez can reach that bumblebeez can't, and the other way round too! Bumblebeez got thiz thing where they land on a flower, and then bazically they vibrate their ENTIRE fat little body az fazt az pozzible. Eventually, the pollen vault will explode, and they'll get all covered in the stuff to take home! Here'z a third freebie fact: Bumblebeez are adorable! ::.) ˖⁺‧₊˚ 𓆦 ˚₊‧⁺˖

I'm sure thiz ain't too much of a surprize, but my favorite color iz green, and theze ladiez tend to come in some beautiful shadez! The firzt fun fact about mantizez iz that they actually have a specific detection method for flapbeaztz! If they senze the ultrazound frequenciez a flapbeazt makez when it echolocatez, it INZTANTLY goez into defenze mode so they don't get snatched up! Alzo, when it'z mating seazon, it'z cuztomary for the female mantiz to decapitate and eat the head of her lover. Poor guy! ::.( Well, catch y'all next time! ˖⁺‧₊˚ 𓆦 ˚₊‧⁺˖
