I sincerely apologize for my lack of posting, and hope to salve the emotional wound of my absence with the following morsel: we all know that the humble butterfly is one of the few creatures who prefer to keep their activity to the harsh Alternian daylight, but did you know that it is this exact overbearing sun that "powers" their ability to navigate? The intense UV light activates a protein called cryptochrome 1, which is an essential biological ingredient for their internal magnetic compass. Interesting, is it not?
