I feell a simillar sentiment about death. The gap between mortallity, immortallity, and the grave is shockinglly thin.

while in many ways i cannot agree there is at least some truth to this sentiment
It is rather difficullt to come to terms with the reallity of lliving with chronic pain llong after one's death. There is something of a cosmic impllication that it is a sickness of the Soull rather than the body.
that does sound somewhat miserable but if i am correct upon perusal of your profile it does make sense for one who is doombound!
just because it makes sense does not make it pleasant though i am sorry to hear about your aches
