∘☽ A strange question perhaps, but does anyone here have a favorite sea creature they'd like to share? ☾∘
∘☽ Oh!! Those little blobbeous deep sea cucumbers? Well, I certainly cannot refute the charms of those little critters. So adorable. I can see why your sibbling would enjoy their existence. ☾∘

🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ Obviously first we have sharks 🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ Glorious, perfect creatures that are older than trees. They loose teeth like we shed and it just grows back like it ever even happeed. Rows of them. They are the barkbeasts of the ocean, a keen sense of smell and can taste even whispers of blood in the water. Efficient, elegant creatures. 🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ Then there is the mantis shrimp! 🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ Such a small stature yet it can match the wrath of a purple in rage. The front claws are like cannons, boilin' the water around them and creatin' a small sonic boom because they can punch so fast! And their eaye, oh their eaye- they can see colours we can't even imagine, they know a spectrum we can only see in our dreams, or maybe if on a #substance. Imagine seein' the world like that, in a way that makes our own world look dull and grey. 🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ Now manta rays- they are adorable. 🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ Gentle royalty of the open waters, glidin' through the sea like birds in the air. Sometimes they feel like dreams given a solid form. So clever too, they remember and learn and even play. they can leap from the water just for the fun of it! 🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ Then if we go deep down into the depths we have the angler. 🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ It's such.. a strange little creature. One would almost think it's stitched together from nightmares and poor decisions. A bioluminescent lure dangles from it's head to attract prey, not unlike me own freckles, the only light in miles of darkness. And the way they mate.. if you can call it that- males are a fraction of the size of the females, and they bite onto her and never let go. He will literally fuse his body into hers and becomes nothin' but another limb. Horrifyin'? Aye. Effective? Also aye. 🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ And lastly, we have to have sea slugs. 🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ Small little jewels in the treasures of marine life. They crawl along the sea bed like little worms, with colours so bright and eye catchin' that I want to make a tank full of them! Wear them like little ornaments.. Don't let their squishiness fool you though, they're menaces! Some steal the stingin' cells of their prey and wield it themselves while others drink the poison of their food to become toxic themselves. And some, this is me favourite, feed on creatures that use the sun for nutrients and steal that to become little livin' lanterns at the bottom of the sea! 🐟︎ ⋆˚࿔ They're all so wonderful...
