(( https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/6158e816dc33.PNG This one took me a bit, I needed some time to put them together. This is Kemile! Pronounced Kem-Eel, two syllables. They use any pronouns, but they/them/it/its is the most common! Kem is a witch of heart. Before sburb, they had psionics that could alter the way they were perceived by others as an illusion. A fraudulent shapeshifter, if you tried to touch them your hand might go straight through the illusion, and break it! Kem was not actually able to change their shape, only what another troll perceives with their eyes. The presence of this ability pre-game allowed Kem to survive as a limeblood largely undetected, passing for other trolls and taking the places of others who moved, passed away, or disappeared for any other reason. Either this, or they would deliberately alter their appearance with unfamiliar traits to keep themselves continually incorrectly remembered in face and hemohue. They could even take the place of an orphan's lusus, although this wasn't particularly their favorite. Lusus kibble is nasty, and it's really heart breaking to watch someone have to go through losing them all over again. There are three main limitations to this! Kem can only emulate the traits of things, animals and people they have seen before! Secondly, one of three tells gives them away if you are looking closely enough. Either the unique ringed pattern in their eyes, a forehead marking where their front horn used to be, or their forked tongue. They do their best to disguise their tells, so don't count on it being easy! Third, memory fades, and emotional attachments wane. While Kem's ability to appear as someone else makes it easier by far to remember what they looked like for longer, one at a time inconsistencies add up. Those incorrect details add up even faster if their emotional attachment to that person fades, or never existed at all. Eventually, the illusion becomes too unstable, and a new face has to be found. Sburb presented an upgrade, and now the illusion is very much real! After sburb, the shapeshifting was no longer a fraud! Kem can quite literally take on the identity of anyone, and anything they want to, and even make up new ones reassembled from traits they've seen elsewhere. Kem learned the hard way that the ability to change oneself comes with consequences that effect others greatly, especially their relationships and feelings, and it can be uniquely and dangerously manipulative and emotionally damaging when used carelessly. They have sworn a vow to do no harm unless they are in life threatening danger. The tells and limitations from the time when their ability was illusion alone still remain. Kem loves people! Parties, people watching, social gatherings! Romantic dramas and comedies are some of their favorite media to consume, and they also have a fondness for shoujo and josei eastern alternian manga and webcomics. They're definitely the person who cries first when the music swells, or the titular couple in the movie finally kiss! They are a big fan of biology, zoology and botony. While not a scientist themself, they enjoy consuming the information about those topics to regurgitate for later out of a love for all of the different ways life survives. They are especially fascinated with plants, fungi and animals that have elaborate and complicated life cycles. Music, dancing, art, and anything where beings communicate their feelings through unspoken language is something they find beautiful and fascinating, though they are not very good at composing their own creative works. What they are pretty good at is improv play acting, and singing! They're also a very good listener when you need someone to talk to. They are unfortunately a very flighty person, and since pretending to be someone they are not is something they are so naturally good at and practiced with, at times they can be pretty fake. They have been known to pretend to like or dislike things, and fake personality traits just to get someone on their side before. They are prone to revert to such behaviors when they feel threatened, or liable to lose someone they care about, even when they don't mean to. This OC is part of a project to create trolls for all of the Elder Futhark runes. Kemile represents Eihwaz, the 5th member of Heimdall's aett. The rune's themes include Yew trees, Yggdrasil, new beginnings, change, spiritual connection, and transformation."
