isnt it fucked up we dont really *know* what dinosaurs looked like the most popular depiction of dinosaur is just what a popularly adopted rendition of them do its not 1:1 at all like we have their bones and thats it nothing else and sure you can make some guesses but like look at a human skeleton and go yeah it would have looked like this no the fuck it wouldnt theres so much detail missing from it

It sure is something to ponder on. Even if we were able to devise the general musculature and fat distribution of these beasts based upon educated guesses, the devil lives in the details. For example: did any of these noble critters ever develop secondary sexual characteristics to distinguish themselves as select cuts above their peers? Flashy coloration, perhaps. Like a distinguished mark above the upper lip. To denote exemplary virility and intelligence.
