I think of how it felt to be in her arms, how she would rush to school to pick me up on the worst days of first grade, when I felt so homesick I would cry. And I miss it. Sometimes I wish I could see her one last time. I wouldn't want to say a word. All of the mistakes, the misery, the ire and the regrets - I would let it fall by the wayside. Just for her to hold me before she has to go again.
