The I-mi-ta-tor, The Lin-guis-tics Troll, a Maid of Doom
Lin-guis-tic fact of the day: Most peo-ple like-ly know that in Ja-pan-ese in-ter-net slang, "w" is their e-qui-va-lent of "lol". How-e-ver, do you know what the o-ri-gin is?? The sim-ple "w" comes from the Ja-pan-ese word for laugh, "笑い" (wa-ra-i). They al-so have an e-qui-va-lent to when wes-ter-ners type "lol" mul-ti-ple times the more fun-ny some-thing is-- "wwwwww" Some-times this is sim-pli-fied fur-ther by be-ing called "草" (ku-sa ; grass) due to its re-sem-blance. I ac-tu-al-ly don't know how of-ten "草" is used in this con-text; I per-so-nal-ly have seen wwwww the most, to this day.
Techkou tip: If you care a-bout you or your peers' in-ter-net pri-va-cy, make sure you check links you co-pied from share but-tons, and ones sent, for an ex-ten-sion "?si=" This ex-ten-sion is trac-kers that are cus-tom tuned to you when you press the share but-ton, which is how sites gain the a-bi-li-ty to doxx you and your friends' ac-counts or lo-ca-tions with-out e-ver ha-ving said a word. Some brow-sers have the a-bi-li-ty to clear these if you do not trust your-self to re-move them safe-ly -- right-click and look for "co-py clean link". O-ther-wise, stop de-le-ting once the ques-tion mark is gone.
