You pretty much got the gist It is a very minimal play in which two poor saps sit under a tree and wait for a mysterious figure they call "Godot," who they believe will fix all of their problems The play is in two acts and both take place under the same tree You can understand my befuddlement with the directors insistence on a period accurate medieval set It adds nothing In fact I think it distracts from the performance But I am just the lowly TD what do I know
