There was once a time in which I was... Well, honestly, a little o8sessed with the concept of the one, true, irreplacea8le Alpha timeline. Perhaps seeking the relevance I was never allowed within our own narrative, or feeling I was owed it after... Well, I'm not going to put anyone on 8last for the sweeps on sweeps of interpersonal drama. Anyway! My point. I had, at one time, dismissed the possi8ilities held 8y other timelines as mere happenstance. Curiosities, irrelevant against the gr8er picture of the Alpha. Realizing that none of that actually, truly matters was very, very freeing. Allowing oneself to grow attached to those you would've simply dismissed as a single of a vast multitude, not 8othering to see the intricacies that might set them apart, and even outright refusing to see the possi8ility in those far-flung offshoots that wear our names and faces 8ut in different tints and hues. It's all such a fascin8ing wealth of possi8ility and inform8ion! I'm kicking myself a little 8it for treating all of it- And, as much as it pains me to say it, all of those that fall under that um8rella- as something unimportant. That all said, my archives are getting rather 8eefy. I should look into digital storage, perhaps, 8ut the novelty of having all of this in a physical, tactile medium is just too appealing.

i spent so much time trying to keep just one timeline intact that by the time i was able to interact with others and not undergo a time paradox induced death i realized how refreshing they would all be no two the same yet all alike i thought they were all worth saving and thats why i wanted to make sure as many of them as possible could reach the afterlife and find some purpose in their undeath that they werent allowed to find in life for what felt like sweeps i could sit and watch how different things could have been for all of us with the slight differences and similarities all of them had but eventually i needed to start living my own life again so i cant just spend all my days watching that said if you do manage to digitize your archives theyd be great reads for me while im spending more time away from the outer rim!

THERE'S A DIMENSION TO HAVING SUCH A SCREECHBEAST'S-EYE VIEW OF ALL THE POSSIBLE DIVERGENT PEOPLE YOU COULD HAVE KNOWN, COULD HAVE BEEN, THAT SENDS A VIOLENT RIPPLE DOWN MY POSTURE POLE. I FEEL IT MOST OF ALL WHEN I HEAR SOMEONE CHIT THAT ANOTHER TROLL IS "THEIR KARKAT", OR "NOT MY KARKAT." BEING ON CHITTR AND INTERNALIZING THAT DISSONANCE IS EITHER THE STRIKING OF A DULL, TETANUS-ENCRUSTED SHACKLE, OR A SPONGE-BOGGLING ABANDONMENT IN THE VAST SEA OF IRRELEVANCE. BEING HERE MEANS THAT I'M EITHER *EVERYONE'S* KARKAT, OR I'M *NO ONE'S* KARKAT. IT'S A LOT TO THINK ABOUT. AND FUCK YOU FOR COMPELLING ME TO THINK ABOUT IT.

I think this sho+ws a wo+nderful level o+f gro+wth, Aranea. And I applaud yo+ur ability to+ self reflect. I kno+w ho+w hard that can be, when yo+u're a gho+st in the bubbles, but it so+unds like yo+u're making excellent headway! And what is sto+pping yo+u fro+m having bo+th a physical and digital co+py o+f yo+ur reco+rds? They can serve different purpo+ses, and yo+u do+n't have to+ limit yo+urself fro+m having access to+ the tactile fo+rmat, just because yo+u also+ want the ease o+f use which co+mes fro+m a digital co+py.

3833 < With the grandiosity of Time and the part it plays in every existence, I wouldn't say that your obsession was unwarranted. > 3833 < The idea of something being The One is what many people strive for in some aspect of their existence, but honestly? I'm grateful to experience all of these little pockets of individuality beyond that secular One that we, being Timeless, can't even discern! > 3833 < It's exciting! It's so beautiful and unknown!!! > 3833 < Additionally, a digital archive MIGHT be useful, but the smell of ink is missed. 😔 >

Timelines are a finicky thing like that. The shared experiences act as a sort of anchor 8etween individuals, at times, 8ut on the other- When was the last time you saw an entire timeline's worth of people of any descriptor show up in one spot? I certainly can count the amount of times that I've witnessed such a thing on one hand, at least. If it were up to me, the concept of "my" or "your" or "their" version of an individual would lose its relevancy, though at the same time I'm full and well aware how that can quickly 8ecome awkward, what with wanting to 8ond with another over shared experience and all. I like to think things would 8e far simpler if terms like that were saved for one's individual friend groups, or even quadrant 8onds, 8ut the sheer multitude of certain people *also* complic8s the notion. There's really no one clear solution, I suppose. As frustr8ing as that is to admit.

Ah... Well, um. Thank you. ::::) Honestly, I am considering it. It's just the sheer effort involved in such a task! Committing everything to memory and writing it down was a monumental task in itself, having to repeat the process- al8eit 8eing one of transferal and diction rather than actual wording- sounds a 8it nightmarish. 8ut may8e I can work something out. I could get help, for one.

That is very true. No+t every endeavo+r has to+ be o+ne that is taken alo+ne, and I'm sure that yo+u have several individuals who+ wo+uld be happy to+ help, if they were asked. Yo+u co+uld also+ lo+o+k into+ simply scanning them in, rather than co+pying them again by hand?
