It's not toxic, if that helps at all. It's a variant that actually went to therapy and proceeds to show me a picture of his son every three to four minutes every time I'm trying to have a meeting. He once told me, VERY offended, that he wouldn't let me die mostly because "I don't think Dave would ever forgive me" and I've slept soundly ever since.
