There are many negative side-effects, many of which could be fatal depending on the #substance. If your main issue is not liking how they make you feel, perhaps consult with a psychiatrist or your general care provider and discuss your symptoms. I encourage you to remember why you are taking them in the first place—what led up to making you feel bad enough to take them? Because that will likely happen again. This is not a decision that should be made lightly, but it also not a decision that anyone else can make for you. If you truly desire to feel better, only you can do that. The resources are available to you. Your choice will likely impact yourself, as well as those that care about you. You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. You have all the resources to help you; you are simply choosing not to use them. That is a choice you are making, and a choice no one can make except for you. It saddens me to hear you have made this decision, but I hope you will be alright. Take care of yourself.
