TT TT And yeah, a lot of people think poerty is easy! "Oh, you just put together a bunch of deep sounding words and bullshit metaphors, how hard can it be?" How hard can it be to make it sound GOOD? Listen, judging by some of the poems I used to read in the Literature Club... Evidently decently hard. Like, I can tell you did that one during lunch, Mayumi But I like this poem! It is a pretty simple haiku, but I like the positive messaging! Feel free to show me anything else you write! ^^

it's missing a cutting word / so it's not really a haiku / under technicality / but that rule is kinda stupid
are you not familiar with the format? / usually there's something around the end called the cutting word the recontextualizes the whole poem / if we're being sticklers about it / it's not just 575
Well, if I consider the themes and inspiration I have in mind... Technically there is? Or at least a word that's a bit of a double entendre if you know the inspiration.

No, it's okay! I know nobody else knows! It's kind of like the poetry equivalent of #vagueposting! And do you honestly think the President of the Literature Club ISN'T a nerd about this stuff too? Let's just say, I was partly inspired by the imagery of eyes. So "visage" and "stare" are sort of tying into that!

Quite a bad look to be late to my own first meeting, isn't it? 😅 Well, you know what they say: better late than never! So, thus marks-- 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑷𝑬𝑪𝑯𝑨 𝑲𝑼𝑪𝑯𝑨 𝑳𝑰𝑻𝑬𝑹𝑨𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑬 𝑪𝑳𝑼𝑩 𝑭𝑰𝑹𝑺𝑻 𝑴𝑬𝑬𝑻𝑰𝑵𝑮! I decided to rename this version of the Literature Club to suit the new Chittr-format. This isn't a dating simulator, so rather than Doki Doki, it's now Pecha Kucha, which is the onomatopoeia for mildly annoying chitchatter. Fits much better, don't you think? Anyway, it's time for everyone to share their first poems! Remember, any topic is fine (although I'd prefer not to read an entire poem about "bulge"), and no real rules about length. Just a "page" at minimum. As mentioned previously, you may reply even if you haven't formally discussed joining with me; that submission will be your entry. But don't worry about the bureaucratic stuff too much! I will reply to this thread with my own submission in time. Happy writing and reading, everyone! ^^
