Have you considered trying? Going "well I've seen the future so I guess I have to be miserable forever" is why you are miserable. Try. You don't have to be a macho man to influence him to be one anyway. Perhaps I don't know enough about human familial units, but there are thousands of ways that nurture takes form. Two people raised the exact same in the exact same way will turn out differently. Two people raised completely differently may end up so similar they could be twins. Why do you have to suffer for that?
