☆obligatory #firearmfriday or #sidearmsaturday for my gun nuts out there Kay so, i don’t thinK anyone genuinely appreciates the true beauty that is taKing someone’s life with a gun. most people fawn over the deKadence of a blunt weapon to bash someone’s sKull in or choKe someone till their life drains from their eyes. But i thinK that the beauty of pulling the trigger matches that and even transcends it. something about the weight KliKK of the hammer falling against the primer of the bullet to be followed by the flash and bang of the gunpowder lighting up. having this beautiful piece of Komplex machinery that is so efficient at sending hot lead into someone’s pan all at the simple movement of a finger, it’s genuinely so beautiful. ‘but IKonos! Killin someone with a gun is so impersonal since you Kan do it from such a long distance’ I hear you Kry. Well first of all shut up im talKin, seKondly yeah that’s sometimes the Kase but on the other hand isn’t it so much more exciting to thinK about? the distant KraKK of a gunshot from a rifle, the sound of a bullet whizzing by before whoever’s you’re shooting at Kan reaKt and while the person you’re trying to shoot is freaKing out finding where you are you’re already chambering another round ready to show them that the first round was just to zero in your sKope. And don’t even get me started on handguns; especially revolvers? the intimacy of loading in rounds one by one into a cylinder and spinning it before Klosing it shut, and before you say anything who gives a shit if it wears down the parts a little bit it’s sexy as fuKK and Kool as all hell. the little noises and KliKKs that send shivers down your spine as you Know that with the next trigger pull you’re sending whoever’s down range of the barrel to their maKer, something about it is just, perfeKt.☆
