Us humans need to use a lotion that dampens the adverse effects of sunlight on our skin. In the particular case of those of us who have lighter skin, the consequence of being exposed to the sun for an extended period of time (such as, when one goes to the beach) means extensive reddening of the skin, which can be quite painful.
Quite the contrary, it is because we aren't that tough that we need to use sunblock.

Hey, out-of-character intro time. This Dirk is part of my own original AU, inspired by the Grind Fiction / Shibuya Punk media genre. His story takes place in the early 2000s in a futuristic fucked up version of earth where all the people have abandoned the surface of the planet in favor of living in futuristic floating sky cities. His sburb session was completely fucked up and broken bc of Some Things. This version of Dirk is an underground street racer and his main hobby is illegally building and modifying vehicles. He does robot & AI shit with the cars too. Cars in his timeline/particular situation can be used with regular wheels but also fly/hover in the air. Trying not to totally infodump here but that's a vague rundown of his whole deal. This account will be fairly tame. Might venture into some #nsfw territory from time to time, as well as #substance because my Dirk is a stoner. Side note that the account owner is a system and does have a Dirk fictive that is active on this account. Not that big of a deal, just an FYI. In-character content is strictly roleplaying.
