My apologies for not knowing the lore, I have never been on 4chan so perhaps I do not have the correct understanding, but from the way the term has been used in my understanding has been either as an insult, a marker of "cringe", or a joke about oneself and ones friends in a playful manner. Regardless of origin, the way the word has been used and the various spinoffs of said word ("teaboo" for example) tend to be used in order to talk down on others. Perhaps it is not the case in a literal sense, but I simply wanted to warn that this is the way those words are generally seen, and that the response they elicit tends not to be pleasant, in order to prevent them unknowingly using them and being talked down to and shamed by others for something that people could misunderstand. If the basis for me saying so is loose, that is my bad, but the overall point still stands.
