Saints, at least in the human cultures I've been spending time around, deem that saints are figures who die in great causes that shape history. I am considered a saint-to-be myself as everyone seems to see my destiny yet I cannot. They have a hunch death is on my horizon. Not yet, not tomorrow, but sooner than it should end. It is annoying.

While my magic is tied to my blood it is more about taking the suffering others experience away from them upon myself. My blood and my burden is the medium in which my magic works. So. Say, taking the burden of losing a limb for someone else? I may not lose my own arm but it sure as hell will feel like it.
