<I guess first post is a good opportunity to leave my review.> <«The Sushi Course» (1,827,547)> <This is an all-time classic, some may say. But I dare to disagree. Although this is one of X.'s latest films, it falls short of his earlier works in many respects.> <The cinematography is undoubtedly superb, but the plot is completely absurd, incoherent, and devoid of any meaning. Don't bother listening to newgens that only watch it for the excessive amounts of #violence. While being almost exclusively pornographic (#nsfw) in nature, «Jade-ode» and «Cullinary» at least had a profound meaning about downsides of caste system and social commentary about hemoism. «The Sushi Course» is purely a #gore fest that leaves more questions that answers. Who was that violetblood? What was he tortured for? I had to rewind the scene of his decapitation at least 15 times, to finally catch a glimpse of his sign so I can do my OWN research (the actor's caste name was Erysti, thank me later). The movie is extremely short as well. Most of it is just 30 min sex scene between those two trolls that have nothing to do with the main subject. I would have even thought these were outtakes if I didn't have a separate disc with the director's cut, in which this scene runs for a full hour.> <Speaking of the good things, there is something deeply erotic about the bottom of the hemospectrum gently slicing the top (after fuchsia, obviously) of the food chain's throat. Speaking of, I am pretty sure X. and his associates faced legal problems after releasing this movie and that makes me respect him even more. He was definitely ahead of his time.> <Overall, I'd rate «The Sushi Course» about 5,5/10. It's not inherently bad, but it definitely could use more efforts and polishing.
