OOC intro and brief character explanation. Sometime between chapters 2 and 3, Kris locked up the SOUL for good, tossing its cage into the lake. Without it, what little remains of Kris' original soul barely holds xyr body together. I don't have an explanation for the events of Chapters 3 and onwards because I don't own the paid version of the game and therefore haven't played it. I met an alternate version of myself today. I feel bad for them. But... from the way the conversation went, it seems like they feel bad for me too. What is there to feel bad for? Did I make a mistake by freeing myself?

Real talk, I don't think it's possible to call choices you made that define who you are now as being mistakes or not. I don't have the specific context of which of the dozen different things one of you could mean by freedom you're talking about, but like. You're not the Kris who made the opposite choice so there's no point in litigating whether you should have, you know? Your life is still going to keep happening anyway, whether or not it sucks marginally more or less. Admittedly this is partially the perspective of someone who interacts with the people with a morbillion alts a lot, in particular the Harleys. And also the perspective of someone who spent her entire childhood stuck by force of prophecy in a life she hated in a shitty small town, so the main thing I have to regret is whether it would be even POSSIBLE to have gotten out earlier. Been thinking a lot about the night I got it out. About Susie finding me by the lake, barely conscious. About how she got Mom to rush me to the hospital... I died that night, I think, because the next thing I remember is waking up on an autopsy table with that stupid scar on my chest. After the doctor got over his shock, he said he found remnants of another soul in my body and pieced them back together to save me. That was the first time in forever that my parents actually talked to each other. #vent I guess.
