It was a normal Monday morning when it happened. I was getting ready for another day at school, just continuing the vicious cycle that was my life. I was eating &reakfast when I heard a thump from the &asement. I figured it was just my cat jumping off a windowsill so I paid it no mind. Then came another thump, and another. realized that something was coming up the stairs, and it sure as hell wasn't my cat. It finally reached the top of the stairs, and peered its head I'm not even sure if you could call it that around the corner and looked at me. I don't even know how to descri&e it. If I tried I'd pro&a&ly just end up throwing myself on a knife trying to get it out of my head. After what seemed like an eternity, I sprinted toward the cutlery drawer, gra&&ed a knife and went into my parents' room. I woke them up as fast as l can, trying to explain what horror had occurred in the past few seconds. When they understood that something was out there my dad took the knife from me and slowly opened the door. It was open no more than an inch when a tentacle, or perhaps an arm, gra&&ed my father and pulled him into the hallway, dragging him &ack towards the &asement door &efore my mother. And I heard it coming &ack. It pounded the door down, and in an instant, it had decapitated my mother, leaving me the last one standing. Instead of giving me the mercy of death, it gra&&ed me &y the leg and dragged me through my father's eviscerated remains and towards the &asement door. I was thrown down the stairs, leaving me staring up at it as this a&omination descended towards me. He had my fill of &lood, human. "I desire one thing more." It could speak. Mother of Messiahs, it could speak. "W-w-what do you want? asked weakly. It crawled down a few more steps, grasped my head in its claws. I desire knowledge." It stared into my eyes, nay, into my very soul, then leaned into my ear and whispered, "I just can't figure out why these nuts."
