i wasnt getting anywhere with the scratch device. so on ormici's advice, i went to ask my witch of light player what her strife specibus was. she simply told me glovekind. normal answer, nothing particularly strange. in a moment of reprieve, she... comforted me. she's always had a sort of magnetic, aloof energy about her, and of all of us, she tended to be the most maternal. shes been quietly worried about me. i just told her i was stressed about the final boss. she told me it was going to go well, but then she told me something that struck a hard chord with me. "...yesterday night, i didnt want to say anything, but, i wanted to try something new and see what would happen if one of us just had zero luck. and- i figured the safest one would be you; after all, youre a time player. if you're unlucky, hah, just rewind ti-" i began choking her on the spot. it was not just a basic chokehold, either- it was the most earnest and serious attempt at strangulation i could possibly summon. i was not even cognizant of what i was inflicting; the sheer veracity of hate possessed me in an almost visceral disgust of what i had just grown to understand. i knew now, why /i/ was the one in the loop. it was a missing ingredient to this mess given to me on a silver platter. the logic was simple as it was obvious. everyone else was EXTREMELY lucky enough to have a time player manage this near crisis of a situation, but i was EXTREMELY unlucky enough to be trapped in this scenario in the worst possible way. it clicked so soundly. it was a precise, damning lightningrod of a scenario. something someone with no luck would portend to. she tried to fight back, but couldnt. she tried to drain me of further luck, of "light", and couldnt. but eventually i came back to my senses and snapped back in, and shoved her away abruptly. i could only glare at her. yet, she was insulted beyond words; mortified even. her closest friend did the absolute unspeakable. i deserved that hate. but for a moment- some reprieve came to me. she didnt deserve it; she couldnt have known. but i think even the most wounded of animals can be forgiven to lash out, from time to time. she damned me to hell and she was never the wiser. come next loop, she wont even remember it... she vanished, perhaps telling our friends what happened, and i stood alone. #physical-assault
