What is there t9 6e said a69ut Christian Mingle (2014) that hasn't already 6een said? ...N9, really? Much t9 the ann9yance 9f my fell9w #CRA6Night c9mpatri9ts, and indeed, eventually my 9wn ann9yance, Christian Mingle was a film rec9mmended t9 me 6y a f9ll9wer 9n Grum6lr. The an9nym9us asker claimed it was an earnest suggesti9n 6ased 9n their percepti9n 9f my interests, 6ut n9w I have t9 w9nder if the end9rsement was made in jest. 9ne cann9t even really call it a film. It's a nearly tw9 h9ur l9ng advertisement f9r a dating app that I cann9t imagine any9ne w9uld have interest in 6ec9ming a patr9n 9f...Read more
I have an9ther few #M9vieReview p9sts in the w9rks, 6ut at the risk 9f accidentally 6ec9ming a gimmick acc9unt, I think I will h9ld 9ff 9n p9sting either 9f them f9r an9ther few days. In the meantime, as I catch up 9n my n9tificati9ns and dip my pr9ngstu6s 6ack int9 the pr9ver6ial waters 9f Chittr, feel free t9 leave me an inquiry at my #Ask69x 6el9w, and I will attend t9 them at my discreti9n. https://f9rms.gle/1uNmj1zdQCjZpPYTA #AskKankri #QnA #Update #Ap9l9giesF9rTheSh9rtP9st #ImPalmhusk69undF9rAWhile
Let's get 9ne thing 9ut 9f the way. Grease (1978) is a69ut sex. #Sp9ilers in69und. Thankfully, there are n9 explicit sex scenes, even if there are plenty 9f 9vert allusi9ns t9 it, fr9m J9hn Trav9lta's crass hip thrusting in "Summer Nights" t9 nudges a69ut h9w and why the Pink Ladies are p9pular with the 69ys. 6ut the threat that l99ms 9ver the heads 9f the students 9f Human Rydell High, m9res9 than the uncertain nature 9f Danny's and Sandy's pending matespritship, is the pursuit 9f carnal desire. Every scene, every character arc, every pl9t detail (if y9u c9uld even accuse Grease 9f having a "pl9t")...Read more
6el9w is a review 9f The Invite (2026). 6ecause it's relatively new, I'll try t9 keep things as sp9iler-free as p9ssi6le. Last night, f9r the inaugural meeting 9f #6U9YM9vieNight, my friends and I watched The Invite, directed 6y and starring human 9livia Wilde. Th9ugh this was pitched t9 me as a sex c9medy drama, I f9und it much heavier in the #Drama categ9ry than anything else. Sure, there were individual c9medic 6eats – human Seth R9gen's J9e thr9wing his 6ack 9ut and firmly derailing what had 6een ramping up t9 6e an enj9ya6le night after h9urs 9f tensi9n was amusing in a juvenile, slapstick s9rt 9f...Read more
Horror movie hour with Roan. Him - Jordan Peele. Oh you genius of a man. Football is indeed a cult. Unbelievable mastery of lighting, though be warned this is not an epilepsy safe movie. Deeply unsettling at times, and there is a scene where the tension is built and held taut for so long, I was truly on the edge of my seat for the entire scene. Absolutely wonderful. The use of Satanic adjacent imagery is also rather appreciated. #Horror #MovieReview #Violence
