I... do not believe that is normal. As far as I have been made aware, you are *required* to have a sprite for the game to progress. Odd you do not appear to have one. When you say you do not have one, do you mean a prototyped sprite? Or the initial kernalsprite?
It means you are, from what my omniscient sight and extreme intellect can gather, playing alone. This is not supposed to be done. Your session will now be an extreme challenge. You will either defeat it and gain fantastic rewards, or you will fail and be destroyed or trapped.
