AFTER YOU SHUFFLE YOUR DECK YOU CREATE A SPREAD OF SEVEN FANNED CARD PILES, EACH CONSISTING OF ONE MORE CARD THAN THE PREVIOUS, THE CARD AT THE TOP ALWAYS FACING UPWARDS, THE REMAINING CARDS ARE PLACED FACING DOWNWARDS IN AN UPPER CORNER OF YOUR LAYOUT SEPARATE FROM THE ALREADY MADE PILES. YOU THEN WANT TO SET UP A SPOT FOR YOUR 4 FOUNDATIONS FOR THE SUITS, DIAMONDS, SPADES, ETC. YOU START BUILDING THESE UP AS THE MAIN GOAL OF THE GAME, STARTING WITH THE ACES AND THEN GOING ALL THE WAY UP TO THE KING UNTIL YOU ARE LEFT WITH JUST THE 4 FULL FOUNDATIONS. THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS OF DEALING THE REMAINING CARDS FROM THE DECK ONCE YOU START THE GAME BUT THE BEST WAY IS TO TURN OVER ONE CARD AT A TIME AND PASS THROUGH AS NEEDED. ONCE YOU REACH THE END OF THE REMAINING CARDS AND YOU STILL HAVEN'T WON YOU START BACK FROM THE ORIGINAL TOP OF THE DECK. BUT IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT REAL-LIFE SOLITAIRE NOT PLAYED ON A COMPUTER HAS A REAL POSSIBILITY OF BEING ABLE TO NOT BE COMPLETED DEPENDING ON HOW THE DECK WAS SHUFFLED.
