What happened to me..?
okay.. i've taken a few days to process what the fuck happened- thanks future me for the videos ig from what i gather in the attempt to find the copies of sburb so we could destroy them, we ended up sending ourselves to an alternate timeline good news: in this one we actually made the new world and are living on it bad news: my kids don't exist now (weird to say didn't think i could be a dad) silver lining: we get to see the trolls again? and i'm 10 years younger i don't remember a timeline without them or like.. having kids so- i dunno, it's weird to see posts about people i was attached to and not even recognise them, and then knowing i was missing people that i don't remember leaving and here i never actually did leave so they didn't suffer either its fucking strange, man i looked like a good parent though.. thats kind of a relief
[Another video, automatically uploaded. This one opens up already recording the sky, a soft pained groan coming from nearby as the sound of mud and dirt is shuffled around. A pale hand comes into view, grabbing the phone and lifting it to look at, revealing a much younger face by at least a decade; no eye bags, scars less faded, no scraggly beard, eyes not yet filled with the tired satisfaction of being a parent. Most importantly, he looked confused. A wary glance was taken of the area, camera shaking as he presumably got to his feet and focusing on his pant leg as the phone hung at his side, not seeming to know it was recording. His voice was softer as he called for his friends, younger, though more stressed. The camera moved again as he brought it up to glance up at, expression full of concern as he seemingly started to scroll for answers. Slowly, his eyes widened, whispering a small "what the fuck.." before realising the phone was recording and switching apps to stop it, video ending on a still of his disgruntled but worried face.] #daves-reset
[A video is uploaded. The time stamp says it was taken yesterday at 10:37 pm, an unintentional temporal delay making it not show up until now, the timestamp on the post flickering between 11:22 pm and the current time. The phone is set on a flat surface, pointed at the semi-transparent clock that has now been moved into a yard. John, Rose, Dave and Jade stand in front of it, all in their 30s and all in their God Pyjamas, which somehow still fit. An unsure glance is shared between them before the women step forward, a couple hours left over on the clock as Jade touches it and soft spacy shadows start spreading across the surface like a spreading mould. Rose kneels on the ground, pulling at little orange glowing orbs in the air like someone trying to find a specific book on a library shelf. John then steps forwards and floats above it, arm glowing a soft white as he pulls at the minute hand, trying to make it move backwards. Then is Dave's turn, glancing down at Rose as she pulls out an orb and crushes it in her palm, giving an affirmative nod to him. By now the spatial mould had travelled across half of the clock, and Dave readied his sword to strike it right in the middle. It sunk into the space like a portal, and a slow crack started to travel along the clock face, snaking its way to the edges. The whole group seemed relieved as the clock broke in in half, Jade reaching her arm into the mould up to the shoulder as Rose moved over to press her hand over the spot, soft beams of light helping guide the other until she withdrew her arm, holding 3 different copies of "SBURB: Early Access". Happiness flashed across their faces for a brief second before John suddenly retracted his hands like he'd been burned, and the clock hand started turning like it was starting a tornado. The four of them step back, panicking. Static gathered at the edge of the video, lines appearing as the camera cracks and a bright light flashes. The video was completely silent the whole time, apart from one final scream from the four of them as the video finally cuts to black.] #daves-reset
[a video has been uploaded. a large, semi-transparent clock floats in front of a wall. looking to be the same height as a closet door. the face has a crack in it, like he'd tried to break it. a cog sits behind it, rotating with a little click every 10 seconds. in the centre of the hands was a small digital display, slowly counting down from 168 hours.] the ticking is driving me fucking crazy
oh my god is that stupid clock that showed up the countdown for the i'm gonna fucking ooooooooooooooo i'm going to have a conniption. or an aneurism. maybe flip off the handle again if my back doesn't give out first that was only half a joke i could probably still do a backflip if i tried
it wasn't supposed to exist here. we specifically made sure we wouldn't have to deal with it again- its not even a separate earth we just went to a timeline where we knew it didn't exist. rose said she couldn't see it anywhere. jade chose the exact area for us to go to #sburb is not supposed to happen in this world. i can't bring my twins into the game- i'm not subjecting them to any of this fuck what do i do
