Particularly when the majority of said doomsday devices were 8uilt 8y a landdweller for the purposes of what I can only assume are out of some sarcastic egocentric mindgames. It had certainly tickled my fancy, at least on a strictly technical level. How would one implement such a machine upon the creatures of land and not have that leave a profound negative effect on the seadwelling popul8tion? (Spoilers: it can't really 8e done.) I still always considered at least the practical applic8tion of such a thing to 8e of some intrigue to me. What immedi8tely comes to mind is, naturally, simply flooding the landscape. It's 8een done, 8ut I wouldn't consider the illustrious Alternian empress' apocalyptic takeover to 8e particularly fruitful for her. I mean, she *did* succeed, 8ut it didn't even seem as though it netted her significant 8enefits. Her su8jug8tion only lasted...a couple hundred sweeps? I got off-track. Six sweep olds trading and manufacturing weapons of mass destruction is nevertheless darkly humorous.

As per his timeline's demands, he culled his own lusus by the age of six sweeps. He spent his youth in the presence of his Meenah Peixes. They were close, and the Orphaner was fond. But it was never meant to be for he knew his duties not only as the Empress's Servant but as Orphaner. Spending his adolescence in the presence of Gl'bgolyb in order to prepare his pan for her wretched tones. He was just that, the Orphaner. He had no other name, he had no other means. It wasn't until he spoke out of line in the Royal Courts that the 2x3Dent of the Empress narrowly missed culling him and scorned him with the permanent mark of Dualscar. He carries the reminder not only to himself but to others what comes to those who do not respect the absolute authority of the Empress. Speaking of the Empress, their young relations were close to moiraillegiance. At first, anyway. As Dualscar grew fonder of the Empress, she grew more wary of his existence. She knew what she would have to do, and Dualscar was NOT a part of her plan. So, starting very young, his yearning for her Scarlet Quadrant grew. In youth, he also had a small spark of Kismesistude with Grand Highblood. But neither of them could hate one another to their fullest extent before it fizzled out. As for his role as Orphaner? Well, Dualscar was a natural. Culling was a Highblood's Specialty of course, and when you have a God Weapon to do so? He was merely equipped to deal with all issues. Or so he would think. Now at 17 Sweeps, he has his first clash with Marquise Spinneret Mindfang. But certainly not his last. He was not tasked to deal with Pirates, so he figured letting her go this time wouldn't be an issue. Lightning doesn't strike twice after all, but Ahab's does. Now at 27 Sweeps, the Orphaner figured out the balance of both his work at hand and his quadrants. He still longed for the Empress, but he dare not confront her in fear of death. But Mindfang satiated all of his needs for all of his quadrants with her constant Manipulation of him. Not with her 8-Fold, but rather her silk tongue. Words to stroke his ego to it's maximum then crush him where he stood. It was a wonderful arrangement for him. This rivalry festered and boiled over into quadrants over the sweeps of clashing. For a while, they were evenly matched. But Dualscar was at his physical peak at all times with not an ounce of psychic abilities. Mindfang however, was continuously growing more conniving and mentally fortified. Rebels however, were not so pleased with his existence. Telling tales to one another of how he culls trolls en masse for the Empress rather than lusii. Not that it mattered much to him. He dared not to step on land. Dualscar is no longer a mere Orphaner to the Empire. He is so much more. He's turned out to be the longest lived Orphaner and the most productive overall. Drowning in the perfect lifestyle for him. This was about the time of the Rebellion's peak, before, well, Signless was executed. Dualscar and Mindfang were no longer clashing their ships just to waste trolls and perfectly good driftwood. Rather, their meetings were face to face. Hours talking in one or the other's brig. Threats and attempts at one another's life being a commonplace thing. This, as you know, is the end of Dualscar. He had traded high ball for a particular slave. A Jadeblood from the Rebellion. He never learned her name. He didn't need to. Her face told him everything. She was tired, older than him, older than the Empress. She seemed so young for her age still. This was why he traded for her. He was obsessed with fiction. Particularly Gothic Horror. And this troll reminded him of Bram Trollker's work. The Jadebloods known as Rainbow Drinkers. But then Mindfang, stole her and well, Dualscar wasn't too keen on that. Especially not after hearing how she violated his property. If he couldn't have the sole Rainbow Drinker, Mindfang certainly couldn't. Mindfang grew more aggressive than ever afterwards. Dualscar forgot all of his fears, running from his own ship during the daylight so that the Marquise couldn't give chase. Upon reaching the Chambers of the Grand Highblood, his fate was sealed. In death, he met his descendant. He was disappointed that the fool didn't give all of his life for the Heiress, rather killed her and was killed by a Jadeblood. He even abandoned Ahab's Crosshairs. Eridan was eventually forgiven, but Dualscar tends to think of himself as a stern Overlooker upon the Eridans running amok in the bubbles. However, he has since been given life. A new life, by some variation of Jane Crocker. Although, his own existence is considered incomplete, shallow, empty. He lives on an Earth with no future, no hope, no lusii to cull, no hemocaste, he is a shadow of a planet long forgotten. He speaks to whoever will listen because he is a desperate relic looking to be returned to glory.
