THE MOLA MOLA FISH (OR OCEAN SUNFISH) They are the world's largest boney fish, weighing up to 5,000 pounds. And since they have very little girth, that just makes them these absolutely giant -blam!-ing dinner plates that God must have accidentally dropped while washing dishes one day and shrugged his shoulders at because no one could have imagined this would happen. AND WITH NO PURPOSE. EVERY POUND OF THAT IS A WASTED POUND AND EVERY FOOT OF IT (10 FT BY 14 FT) IS WASTED SPACE. They are so completely useless that scientists even debate about how they move. They have little control other than some minor wiggling. Some say they must just push water out of their mouths for direction (?????). They COULD use their back fin EXCEPT GUESS WHAT IT DOESNT -blam!-ING GROW. It just continually folds in on itself, so the freaking cells are being made, this piece of floating garbage just doesn't put them where they need to -blam!-ing go. So they don't have swim bladders. You know, the one thing that every fish has to make sure it doesn't just sink to the bottom of the ocean when they stop moving and can stay the right side up. This creature. That can barely move to begin with. Can never stop its continuous tour of idiocy across the ocean or it'll -blam!-ing sink. EXCEPT. EXCEPT. When they get stuck on top of the water! Which happens frequently! Because without the whole swim bladder thing, if the ocean pushes over THE THINNEST BUT LARGEST MOST TOPPLE-ABLE FISH ON THE PLANET, shit outta luck! There is no creature on this earth that needs a swim bladder more than this spit in the face of nature, AND YET. Some scientists have speculated that when they do that, they are absorbing energy from the sun because no one -blam!-ing knows how they manage to get any real energy to begin with. So they need the sun I guess. But good news, when they end up stuck like that, it gives birds a chance to land on their goddamn island of a body and eat the bugs and parasites out of its skin because it's basically a slowly migrating cesspool. Pros and cons. "If they are so huge, they must at least be decent predators." No. No. The most dangerous thing about them is, as you may have guessed, their stupidity. They have caused the death of one person before. Because it jumped onto a boat. On a human. And in 2005 it decided to relive its mighty glory days and do it again, this time landing on a four-year-old boy. Luckily Byron sustained no injuries. Way to go, fish. Great job. They mostly only eat jellyfish because of course they do, they could only eat something that has no brain and a possibility of drifting into their mouths I guess. Everything they do eat has almost zero nutritional value and because it's so stupidly -blam!-ing big, it has to eat a ton of the almost no nutritional value stuff to stay alive. Dumb. They do SOMETIMES get eaten though. BUT HARDLY. No animal truly uses them as a food source, but instead (which has lead us to said photo) will usually just maim the -blam!- out of them for kicks. Seals have been seen playing with their fins like frisbees. Probably the most useful thing to ever come from them. "Wow, you raise some good points here, this fish truly is proof that God has abandoned us." Yes, thank you. "But if they're so bad at literally everything, why haven't they gone extinct." Great question. BECAUSE THIS THING IS SO WORTHLESS IT DOESNT REALIZE IT SHOULD NOT EXIST. (( I don't want to fuel what is going on, but these random accusations from someone I don't even know is completely uncalled for. The evidence shown is from something Mindfang said IN CHARACTER THREE YEARS AGO. In character DOES NOT equal my OUT OF CHARACTER opinions. The context of that screenshot for those who have seen it is her talking about June's new name. Some information on my muse is that after she had gone through the grooming of Scratch she changed her name to Aranah. And there was a reoccurring theme where, whenever someone didn't like what she said, they would call her by Aranea, a name she no longer felt represented her and was associated with bad memories of her previous life where she had been groomed. So that message was her trying to point out that nobody seems to find an issue when they deadname her. The story that I wanted to tell was that anyone can change their name, trans, cis, people who went through abuse to help them find comfort in themselves and move onto the next chapter in their life. It's upsetting to see one message be twisted in the opposite message I wanted and then turned to attack who I am OOC. Mindfang was an alien, IC I wrote what she said in a more black and white way because she does not understand trans issues as an 18th century pirate. But she is not demeaning June's identity she was only pointing out the hypocrisy of muses who would deadname her. The other screenshot is of me and my friend's conversation being taken out of context. In the second screenshot I am having a conversation with my biologist trans friend. I honestly cannot tell you the context of where that conversation emerged from about chromosomes because it was 3 years ago, but it was never to attack trans women. I'm sorry that I had to bring this out right here, I'm shaking as I'm typing this because I would never want to exclude trans women or men, or anyone for that matter. I really just wanted to come here and roleplay with new people, from all different walks of life. In youth, he also had a small spark of Kismesistude with Grand Highblood. But neither of them could hate one another to their fullest extent before it fizzled out. As for his role as Orphaner? Well, Dualscar was a natural. Culling was a Highblood's Specialty of course, and when you have a God Weapon to do so? He was merely equipped to deal with all issues. Or so he would think. Now at 17 Sweeps, he has his first clash with Marquise Spinneret Mindfang. But certainly not his last. He was not tasked to deal with Pirates, so he figured letting her go this time wouldn't be an issue. Lightning doesn't strike twice after all, but Ahab's does. Now at 27 Sweeps, the Orphaner figured out the balance of both his work at hand and his quadrants. He still longed for the Empress, but he dare not confront her in fear of death. But Mindfang satiated all of his needs for all of his quadrants with her constant Manipulation of him. Not with her 8-Fold, but rather her silk tongue. Words to stroke his ego to it's maximum then crush him where he stood. It was a wonderful arrangement for him. This rivalry festered and boiled over into quadrants over the sweeps of clashing. For a while, they were evenly matched. But Dualscar was at his physical peak at all times with not an ounce of psychic abilities. Mindfang however, was continuously growing more conniving and mentally fortified. Rebels however, were not so pleased with his existence. Telling tales to one another of how he culls trolls en masse for the Empress rather than lusii. Not that it mattered much to him. He dared not to step on land. Dualscar is no longer a mere Orphaner to the Empire. He is so much more. He's turned out to be the longest lived Orphaner and the most productive overall. Drowning in the perfect lifestyle for him. This was about the time of the Rebellion's peak, before, well, Signless was executed. Dualscar and Mindfang were no longer clashing their ships just to waste trolls and perfectly good driftwood. Rather, their meetings were face to face. Hours talking in one or the other's brig. Threats and attempts at one another's life being a commonplace thing. This, as you know, is the end of Dualscar. He had traded high ball for a particular slave. A Jadeblood from the Rebellion. He never learned her name. He didn't need to. Her face told him everything. She was tired, older than him, older than the Empress. She seemed so young for her age still. This was why he traded for her. He was obsessed with fiction. Particularly Gothic Horror. And this troll reminded him of Bram Trollker's work. The Jadebloods known as Rainbow Drinkers. But then Mindfang, stole her and well, Dualscar wasn't too keen on that. Especially not after hearing how she violated his property. If he couldn't have the sole Rainbow Drinker, Mindfang certainly couldn't. Mindfang grew more aggressive than ever afterwards. Dualscar forgot all of his fears, running from his own ship during the daylight so that the Marquise couldn't give chase. Upon reaching the Chambers of the Grand Highblood, his fate was sealed. In death, he met his descendant. He was disappointed that the fool didn't give all of his life for the Heiress, rather killed her and was killed by a Jadeblood. He even abandoned Ahab's Crosshairs. Eridan was eventually forgiven, but Dualscar tends to think of himself as a stern Overlooker upon the Eridans running amok in the bubbles. However, he has since been given life. A new life, by some variation of Jane Crocker. Although, his own existence is considered incomplete, shallow, empty. He lives on an Earth with no future, no hope, no lusii to cull, no hemocaste, he is a shadow of a planet long forgotten. He speaks to whoever will listen because he is a desperate relic looking to be returned to glory.
