Okay, okay, as the third mem8er of #8oatclu8, it's only fair I post a8out my favorite maritime vessel, so let me tell you a little something a8out a ship once captained 8y one of the gr8est gam8lignants in history! Most commonly referred to as The Flying Fish or The Remora, this ship was a great many things! You could call it a long8oat, a row8oat, or a su8marine and none of those things would 8e untrue, and MAN, was this thing sleek. When it was on the surface, oars and sails would 8e deployed, some reports st8ing that it was like watching someone skip a stone across water, it was so quick! Unusual for vessels of the time, it had very few defenses (only handcannons on the prow), relying mostly on its speed and maneuvera8ility to dart in and out of com8at. Well. That, and one other thing! See, The Flying Fish had this neat little trick it could do where the crew, disciplined and rigorously trained as they were, could convert it into a su8mersi8le in only a8out two minutes. The sails came down and were secured along the sidewalls to 8ecome a water-tight 8ladder, and once they dipped below the waves, they could safely construct a shell 8eneath the fa8ric! Using all of this to their advantage, The Remora often didn't even 8other to engage with their targets directly, unless acting as a decoy for another, more cum8ersome ship. No, they kept below the waters and rowed their way 8eneath, attaching themselves to the hull and 8reaching from the 8ottom! 8y the time commanding officers knew what was happening and organized any sort of counter-attacks, their most precious cargo and the 8oat was sinking, the thieves already loooooooong gone! Far as I know, it's still out there somewhere. Empire never managed to get hold of it, so more likely than not, it's on the sea8ed somewhere or in some8ody's priv8 collection. What I wouldn't give to see it in action, though!
D-->I am now a part of a boat club apparently. I still have a mast from a particularly irritating Eridan's ship. If either member of the boat club @cuttlefishCoddler @arachnidsGripes wish to use it for anything do not be afraid to ask. I can always get another after all.
